Projects Assisted

during 2004

It is interesting to note how an emphasis on work with children and young people emerged over the year. No fewer than seven applications were directly concerned with this. Two more applications, less direct, but concerned with teaching parenting - probably to young (and possibly unmarried) mothers - will also be observed.

Is this a co-incidence - or a possible trend showing where this kind of work is headed? Time alone will tell and the Association will have to consider whether we or another, possibly statutory, body should be undertaking these tasks.

Certainly the Church Welfare Association will continue to assist to the limit of available funds.
